AviNeering Awarded Turnkey Contract for New ILS CAT II System at Sal Airport, Cape Verde

AviNeering is proud to announce that we have been awarded a turnkey contract by ASA – Empresa Nacional de Aeroportos e Segurança Aérea, S.A. for the design, supply, and installation of a new ILS CAT II system at Amílcar Cabral International Airport, located on Sal Island, Cape Verde.
This project forms part of ASA’s efforts to enhance aviation safety and operational capability at one of Cape Verde’s most critical international airports. We are honored to have been entrusted with this important project and look forward to working closely with ASA to deliver a modern and high-quality landing system.
AviNeering will supply the Normarc ILS from Indra Navia, a state-of-the-art Instrument Landing System recognized worldwide for its outstanding performance, reliability, and compliance with the highest international standards. We are proud to continue our close collaboration with Indra Navia and deliver their proven technology to support ASA.
The scope of work includes the supply and installation of a new ILS CAT II (Localizer and Glide Path) system, delivery and integration of the Remote Monitoring and Maintenance System (RMM), and civil works including new foundations, cable trenches, and the installation of 1200 meters of new fiber optic communication cables. The project also involves comprehensive training for ASA’s technical staff, covering four different courses in both theoretical and practical aspects, as well as full support during the flight calibration and commissioning phases.
We are excited to contribute to this upgrade at Sal Airport, ensuring that it continues to provide safe and efficient operations well into the future.
Project completion is expected in 2025.
