Delivery of 4x Navaid Shelters and integration of 2x ILS in Azerbaijan
Navaid Shelter and Glide Path System at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Azerbaijan
AviNeering is pleased to announce the successful completion of an Instrument Landing System (ILS) integration project at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, delivered in close collaboration with Indra Navia AS.
As part of the airport’s continued modernization program, the project included the design, delivery, and full integration of two 32-element Normarc ILS systems, as well as AviNeering Standard Navaid Shelters supporting both runway 35 and runway 17.
Scope of Work Included:
-Design, production, and delivery of 4 AviNeering Standard Navaid Shelters for ILS and DME systems:
Prefabricated shelters offered efficient on-site installation on pillar foundation elements.
Each shelter equipped with dual integrated air conditioning systems
Complete electrical installation (distribution boards, lighting, sockets, cable ducts, etc.)
-Installation and full integration of:
2 x 32-element Normarc Localizer systems
Associated Glide Path and DME systems
-On-site commissioning and fine-tuning of the ILS/DME
-Installation of two new Remote Control Systems.
-Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Flight Check Ground Calibration
-Training of local ATSEP personnel, in system theory and maintenance procedures.
The full integration and commissioning work was completed in four weeks, which marks our team’s efficiency and strong coordination with project stakeholders.
